On October 2, 2019, all ExpressAccounts became FasTrak® accounts. The name of the account changed, but the method of payment, account number and account login information remains the same.
All accounts have been issued a small, free sticker transponder for each vehicle listed on the account – enabling all accounts to pay tolls on every tolled bridge, lane and road in California. There are no monthly account maintenance fees and prepaid accounts are eligible for discounted toll rates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still use my switchable, hardcase transponder for carpool discounts on other FasTrak bridges, lanes and roads?
Yes. Keep your switchable FasTrak transponder(s) to be eligible for carpool discounts on designated express lanes throughout California. You can have, both, your sticker transponder and switchable transponder mounted to your windshield at the same time. The switchable transponder becomes the default transponder and the appropriate toll will be collected based on the settings on the switchable transponder. What do I do with my hardcase transponder?
Keep your switchable FasTrak transponder(s) to be eligible for carpool discounts on designated express lanes throughout California. You can have, both, your sticker transponder and switchable transponder mounted to your windshield at the same time. The switchable transponder becomes the default transponder and the appropriate toll will be collected based on the settings on the switchable transponder. For information on carpooling with FasTrak, visit: TheTollRoads.com/Accounts/FasTrak/California.
If you have an old standard FasTrak transponder (with no small black switch), you can choose to dispose of it the way you would a battery or other hazardous household waste. For more information: CalRecycle.ca.gov/ReduceWaste/Batteries.
Why am I receiving a new transponder?
The new sticker transponders cost significantly less than the battery-operated hard-case transponder currently used to collect tolls electronically in the state. With introduction of this new technology we will be passing the cost savings to its FasTrak accountholders, by ending the current monthly account maintenance fee.
