The toll rate schedule for Orange County’s 51-mile toll road network includes a five percent adjustment at select peak-hour toll points beginning July 1, 2018. The toll rates for a majority of toll points on the system will not change.
The Toll Roads were primarily funded through the sale of bonds to private and institutional investors. All toll revenue collected goes toward retiring bond debt, funding additional improvements and covering costs to operate toll collection. Toll rates are reviewed annually during the budget process and adjustments are implemented at the start of the fiscal year.
Toll rates will be adjusted five percent at the following toll points during the peak hour:
73 Toll Road – Catalina View Mainline Toll Point
- Northbound – Monday through Friday, 8 - 8:59 a.m.
- Southbound – Monday through Friday, 5 – 5:59 p.m.
133 Toll Road – Orange Grove Mainline Toll Point
- Southbound – Monday through Friday, 7:30 - 8:29 a.m.
- Northbound – Monday through Friday, 5 - 5:59 p.m.
241 Toll Road – Tomato Springs Mainline Toll Point
- Northbound – Monday through Friday, 7:30 - 8:29 a.m.
- Southbound – Monday through Friday, 5 - 5:59 p.m.
241 Toll Road – Windy Ridge Mainline Toll Point
- Southbound – Monday through Friday, 7:30 - 8:29 a.m.
- Northbound – Monday through Friday, 5 - 5:59 p.m.
261 Toll Road – Irvine Ranch Mainline Toll Point
- Southbound – Monday through Friday, 7:30 - 8:29 a.m.
- Northbound – Monday through Friday, 5 – 5:59 p.m.
Toll rate adjustments will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 1, 2018.
View the Maps and Rates page to view the account and non-account toll rate schedule. Prepaid FasTrak® accountholders are discounted by $1 from the account toll rate at every toll point on The Toll Roads. ExpressAccount® customers pay the account toll rate as shown on the rate schedule.
Drivers without an account can pay tolls online at TheTollRoads.com or with The Toll Roads free app using the One-Time-Toll payment option. Customers using the One-Time-Toll option pay the non-account toll rate and must do so five days before or five days after driving The Toll Roads to avoid penalties.
Currently, more than 330,000 daily transactions are recorded on 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads. Together they comprise 20 percent of Orange County’s highway system and make up the largest toll road network in California.
