The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) – operator of 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads - announces the opening of its San Bernardino Customer Service Walk-In Center in preparation for the future SB Express Lanes on the I-10 in San Bernardino County. The Toll Roads will serve as the account and payment processing partner for SB Express Lanes, operated by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA).
In 2018, TCA and SBCTA entered a cooperative agreement for The Toll Roads to provide back-office services supporting SBCTA’s I-10 and I-15 Express Lanes. The agreement will improve efficiencies in processing transactions and reduce costs to both TCA and SBCTA.
The customer service center, located inside the Rancho Cucamonga City Hall, opened Monday, June 17, 2024. In preparation for the SB Express Lanes summer opening, customers in the San Bernardino area will be able to open or manage an account, apply for discount programs, purchase a transponder, and ultimately pay tolls. The customer service center will assist both SB Express Lanes and The Toll Roads customers.
“With the opening of the upcoming SB Express Lanes, we are bringing much needed congestion relief and time savings to motorists traveling through the I-10 corridor. The new customer service center will help drivers prepare to hit the roads when the SB Express Lanes open this summer,” shared SBCTA President Ray Marquez. “By partnering with TCA for toll processing and account management, we have created significant cost savings and reduced risks toward delivery and operation of our first Express Lanes project. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with TCA.”
“After more than 30 years of successfully operating Orange County’s toll roads, we are excited to be able to draw on our own experience to execute a cost-effective agreement with SBCTA to serve as the account and payment processing partner for the SB Express Lanes,” said John Taylor, Chair of Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency and City of San Juan Capistrano Council Member. “Together, our agencies are leading in a first of its kind partnership in Southern California and leveraging TCA’s back-office system for overall cost savings.”
“We are pleased to open the customer service center for customers in the San Bernardino region and support SBCTA in the opening of its new SB Express Lanes,” said Janine Heft, Chair of San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency and City of Laguna Hills Council Member. “TCA will continue to look for additional opportunities to partner with other agencies for shared toll processing services.”
The San Bernardino County Customer Service Walk-In Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 97130 will be open Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
