If you receive a text and are unsure, The Toll Roads customers can verify valid text notifications by logging into their account. How do I pay tolls on The Toll Roads?
Tolls incurred on The Toll Roads can be paid using:
- FasTrak® Account – FasTrak is a preestablished account that can be used to pay tolls electronically on every tolled bridge, lane and road in California. Learn more about FasTrak.
- FasTrak Prepaid – Tolls are prepaid and eligible for a discount.
- FasTrak Charge – Tolls are charged individually to the credit card on file
No Account, No Problem. Tolls can be paid at TheTollRoads.com or via The Toll Roads app within five days before or five days after driving The Toll Roads. Click here to pay a toll.
Tolls can be paid with cash at our Customer Service Walk-In Center located at 125 Pacifica, Irvine, CA (Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.).
Drivers can also pay tolls with cash using PayNearMe. To do so, visit TheTollRoads.com, click “Pay Toll Now,” follow steps, select “cash” on payment screen, receive barcode, present barcode to store clerk. A convenience fee is added to each transaction at the time of payment. To see participating locations, click here, enter your city and “The Toll Roads of Orange County” as the biller.
Who owns and operates The Toll Roads?
The Toll Roads are owned by the state of California and operated by The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA). TCA is comprised of two Joint Powers Authorities formed by the California legislature in 1986 to plan, finance, construct and operate the 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads in Orange County.
I drove The Toll Roads but the five days to pay online has passed, what can I do now?
You should receive a Notice of Toll Evasion in the mail soon. If it was your first time driving The Toll Roads without paying, the notice will include information about how to pay the toll only (without penalties).
How do I pay tolls if I am driving a rental/loaner vehicle?
FasTrak Accountholders
If you have a hardcase switchable transponder: Before driving The Toll Roads, add the vehicle's license plate number to your account temporarily and transfer the hardcase transponder to the vehicle.
If you have a sticker transponder: Sticker transponders cannot be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Before driving The Toll Roads, add the vehicle's license plate number to your account temporarily. License plate recognition will collect the toll(s) via your account.
You can also pay tolls incurred by a rental/loaner vehicle at TheTollRoads.com, The Toll Roads app or through your rental company.
Many rental car companies offer ways to pay tolls conveniently through the rental agreement. Before driving a rental car on The Toll Roads, ask the rental car company how they process tolls and fees.
Non-accountholders
You can pay tolls without an account within five days before and five days after driving The Toll Roads at TheTollRoads.com and using The Toll Roads app.
